(Please note that I have already visited the codebreaker forums before coming here, and that I've used the search function as best I could before making this thread.) Hello, My old V4 PS2 kicked the bucket finally (blew a fuse it seems) and since Disgaea 2 and XS3 were recently released, I needed to go get another PS2 quick. So, I hop down to walmart and pick up a new one. Unfortunately, all of the available models were V14, which did not suprise me. As many of you may know, the V14 (SCPH-75001 CB) won't play nice with my camera, so I can't connect it to the PS2's USB port and use codebreaker 8 to transfer game saves. Right before my V4 PS2 died, I backed up about 10 game saves to my camera before it died, and now I have no way to transfer them back. I have heard of some people getting a few select pen drives to work with the V14 PS2, but I do not need a thumb drive. I have an iPod to transfer stuff between computers, so I don't want to go spending money on a pen drive that may not actually work for me. (If you can recommend an inexpensive model that is known to work for many people, however, that would be great.) I used my camera because it worked and it was already available. So, is there a practical way I can utilize the network adapter to transfer saves? Either download them from the web, or perhaps from my computer's hard drive? Or are there any other tried-and-true methods? Thanks in advance.
The first suggestion is to go out and buy a MC port for your computer. After that you might try an ARMax EVO, but I'm not sure how well it will work with a v14, this will work almost the same as the codebreaker and they give you a thumb drive with it. The third option is kind of far fetched but if you can find a device called a SharkPort on the web it will work also but they stopped making them years ago.
