Is there a wat to shrink DVD movies to fit on my Ipod?

    Ok, was wondering if someone can help me out! I decrypted Alvin Ans the chimpmunks using AnyDVD & DVD Shrink. So I have the iso on my Hard drive! I also used Shrink to get the Audio_TS & Video_TS files from it! Not I use VOB2MPG to create a MPEG of the dvd, but the size it still 3GB! Is there a way I can shrink the size so that I can fit a few dvd movies onto my ipod????

    Xilisoft has something that will do the trick. You do have to pay.
    Thats the only one I know of, but there are more out there and probably some freeware.

    as mpenney said, you can use xilisoft software. you can rip the movie to fit different type of ipods and their resolutions as well as other types such as the ps3 high definition or psp and you can rip it to fit into a small file straight from the dvd so that you don't have to copy it and then convert the file. i think it's worth buying the software

    You can only rip from the DVD directly if it is unprotected.

    If you really want to pay money for a software, go with DVDFab Platinum. It will indeed do everything. All converters out there, cannot rip directly from a protected DVD. DVDFab does it all. The decrypting algorithms are up to date and you get FREE lifetime updates once you buy it.

    It can convert to iPod, Zune, PSP...
    Split, shrink a DVD9...

    Good call cyprusrom. DVDFab Platinum is also a very good program and does have the capability of converting to an Ipod.
