im kinda worried about this cos im just wonderin how can microsoft make you wreck your 360?do you have to agree to update or will it happen automatically?ive got a modded firmware 360 and a 12 month live membership so im just hoping that all my punishment is is a ban and not a f***ed console.

this is exactly my point mate, the 360 itself is still in original condition, the bios etc are all untouched. i personally think microsoft cannot find a way to detect the firmware of the dvd drive, thats why they are going to sell the new versions of 360, and also the fact that they havnt done anything so far.

I agree with ya. And I also feel if MS could do anything they'd do it asap... not hold out for a game release. Piracy is quite high in the Asian markets and MS wouldn't toleriate losing money there if they didn't have to.

yes, you should be just fine. I have downloaded game demo's, dashboards, done game and system updates and nothing has happened....,yet.
You are safe until they decide to do a system update that can scan for the current mods, that is when people will start getting scared. You can be sure you will see a post here as soon as someone gets banned.

yea but i think also,if you are not burning your own games the person you buy em from is gunna tell you if you should or shouldnt play them online.even so,why isnt microsoft doing something right now,if this was so important this "update" would have been released a long time ago.so we've all just gotta hope its nothin that will possibly f**k up your console then youll have to send it to them to be fixed.best option really is to find out whats safe for your console from just searching around.im sure that youll have to agree to update before anything happens anyway.

    so ,good luck to all.
