is there a way to play hd dvd files on pc without a hddvd drive?

    can i do this?
    i downloaded a few blu ray movies but dont have a blu ray drive qwas wondering if there is a app out there that lets you play blu ray movies? like wmp classic or something? do i have to put the files in a certain order too?
    is there a place that tells you what you need to do to do this?
    i downloaded 20gb total recall movie but it hd dvd format and has two folders in it.

    vlc player will play almost any file and it will play downloaded blu-ray files

    Yes you can but your computer needs to be pretty stout to be able to play it. I did it by creating an iso with ImgBurn and mounting the iso with Daemon tools. You then need HDdvd playback software like Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra to play the movie. Works very well but most HDdvd's are at least 20gb and that'll eat up your hdd space pretty quick
