    Hi,
I have a DVD that i bought overseas (one of my favorite French movies) Anways, its pal, and i haven't gotten my dual zone DVD player yet, so i was wondering if there was a way to unauthor it so that i can convert the audio and MPV/M2V files to NTSC and then re-burn so that i don't have to re-encode. Thanks

    Chris.

To get from PAL to NTSC you have to transcode, there's no way around it.

    NTSC runs on 525 lines/frame and it's vertical frequency is 60Hz. NTSC's framerate is 29,97 frames/sec.

PAL runs on 625 lines/frame and he framerate is 25 frames/sec.

TMPGEnc is a great app for transcoding :)
