Is there a way to unlock/jailbreak/hack to get a free data plan?

    I just bought an iphone 3g today and I wasn't told when i bought the phone that it would come with a required data plan. Right now my mom is angry at me and threatening to return the phone. Is there a way i can hack the iphone to either get a free data plan or get rid of the data plan all together?

    you can jailbreak it and install bossprefs from Cydia, then use it to turn off edge and 3G.

    Then just use it when your around wifi for data.

    But as for a hack for free data, probably not likely.

    just go back to the store and have them remove the data package. you only need it when you buy the phone. you will more than likely be charged the full 30 bucks on your first bill, but then you will be back to the normal monthly fee.
