    Hi to everyone,

like the most of you, to playback my video files with WMP I'm using FFdshow. What I was asking to me is:
Is there a way to update to a latest version of ffdshow?
I mean, I don't want just to install on top of my previous installation but find a workaround to still have the latest build without the effort to uninstall and install over and over again.
ffdshow is an amazing app but it too often changes version making me crazy to stay update.

    Thanks,
    Stefano.

Your information of "most of you" came from where? I would bet that the percentage of folks, who use it, is minute, compared to use of WMP.

    I have never used ffdshow.

Right...your answers are always very useful and rich of technical details!

I'm more than thank to you.
    Bye,

Just uninstall from add/remove and install the new one.

I don't think there is any capability within FFDSHOW to update itself.
    (if that's what you wondering)

I too use and like ffdshow (as do a few million others), but I don't see the need to be always using the latest. It is also so confusing as to what to download. I was having a minor problem so I uninstalled and went with one of the SVN builds by xxl, Rev 2180.

    @ davexnet

    you got my question, mate!
you "Really...." understood me thanks a lot!

    @ MysticE

It was exactly what I was thinking by myself. I'll leave there my ffdshow installation because until now I haven't had any types of problems.

A big thanks to both of you!
    Stefano.
