is there an optical switcher for multiple 'outputs' but only 1 'input'?

I have a 5.1 computer THX certified home theater system by Logitech ~$250 that only has one each input for coaxial and optical. I was wondering if there is a switch that I can use so that I don't have to keep unplugging and plugging for switching between my ps2/DVD player/cable box.

Also, is it worth buying monster/monoprice cables for a $250 5.1 system or will there probably be no discernable difference between them and the in-box cables? Any help much appreciated.

    See this: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=180-980

No. Don't buy Monster. You're just buying a name.
You can get AR (Acoustic Research) at Best Buy or Blue Jean cables (http://www.bluejeanscable.com/), for half the price, or less. They're just as good. You can also get cables at the site, I linked to above. I use Radio Shack's brand of cables, and they're are just fine.
    Good luck!
