Is there any deterent that can keep fans from buying the ps3?

With a bad e3 showing,high price for the console,specualted extreme high price for the games,specs changing in a negative way from last years e3 to this one and a laundry list of dissapointing news swirling around Sony's new console i was wondering what it would take to keep a sony fan from purchasing the console?


P.S im not trying to start anything just seems like a whole lot of bad things going on and the ps3 takes a lickin but its fans keep tickin...

 

lol, funny topic, I suppose nothing can stop me at least, anyway the xbox 360 is only an xbox 1.5, an add-on, the ps3 is more a revolution, you a a personnal computer in it.

in order:
-bad e3, I think the baddest was M$ because they just showed halo 3 and gears of war
-high price? wtf, it's the same as xbox360 :S I mean, the ps3 core is the exact same thing as the premium x360. no wireless network, HD of 20gig, no HDMI but HD conponnents, no media card reader, and it's the same price, the core ps3 let you play like the xbox 360 premium let you play, and the ps3 have a blue-ray player inside...
-high priced games, yeah that's bad, but The future xbox360 games will have the same price ex: gears of war
-news and specs... I dunno, the specs now are better than the x360's specs anyway, so why bother, anyway at this point you won't be able to tell witch one is the best, at least not from the 1st gen games.
-finally, square-enix are with sony and I'm a RPG FAN, I know mistwalker is doing great games on the x360, but 2 games... I suppose when the x360 will cost less, I'll buy one too. ( in a loong time )

to me, the only way to keep me from buying a ps3 is the money... if I don't have enough, but for worse, I'll just buy it later :S. I suppose it's because we are loyals from the ps1 ( was soo good ) and the ps2 ( SOOO much better than anything for now ), So surely the ps3 will continue the saga! =D

and ps3 will sell more in japan, and THEY make the games, lol.

 

if i had to put down a second mortgage on the system and games were 1000 americans.

LOL, you guys kill me with all these links but no truth to the rumor...I dont care.This will not stop me from buying a PS3 or anything else you guys post(dnglebry).Sony sold over a 100 million consoles(not even counting PSP) so that would speak in vol how good there product is.But every game system has there flaws.This Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD thing is not going to be a battle after all there are alot of companys that is going to build a player that is going to play both formats also up convert your DVD's.

Then answer me this: Why does Sony get so much bad press?

 

bloggers fear sony will destroy the competition again this new generation.

You just answer you own question dnglebry its the press who said that everything in the press is true which most of it is not.Its only spec thats all these guys dont even own a PS3 system yet.When people in the press speak like this its only there opinion,But they press it like its the truth.

 

not to mention the ENORMOUS amount of bad press the x360 got and still is.

 

But why do the press fear or hate Sony?

 

cause they know sony will sell 80mil mor than m$ again.

 

Why doesn't the press like Sony to outsell MS?

You got to relize that people in the press like takeing on giants because it will give them a name for themselves.The press job is to make Headlines not to worry about if something is true or false.Most of the time press these days dont look in to the story in do research for them selves it alway what someone else say.

 

But why are they targeting Sony in particular?

 

not to mention from all the game sites i've seen only about 4 are unbiest. including gametrailers.

 

All the system are a target not only Sony.Its your job the buyer to do the research and find the truth & lies.Thats why im here @ afterdawn to do research on thing to find the truth for myself.

 

But why Sony?
Did they do something to warrant such bad press?
