is there any point in modding my 'cube if so which chip is the best to go for

right ive just got my gamecube for £25 from my mate and i want to chip it so i can play copyed games. Firstly what chips are available, which is the best (or the most value for money), where can i get them from and how do i copy the games to it (also wtf do i get the games from ive tryed www.thepiratebay.org and it says it will take 795hours to get final fantasy!:O and 1012 hours to get resident evil 4!) thanks for helpin dudes
