Hi all ive had a problem with a few movies ive got hold of recently. The speech seems to be about 2 or 3 seconds behind the picture, Is there any way of correcting this issue?? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello: This is sometimes just the result of bad burns often to poorer quality media. Were these backups of DVDs or AVI/divX conversions? The most common causes of poor quality burns: 1. Using poorer quality media. Good media is that made by Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, and made in Japan labeled Sony and Fuji media. 2. Burning too fast. It's generally best to limit the burn speed to half or less the rated speed of the media. 3. Out of date firmware. Firmware can be found at the manufacturer's web site or at this database: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php You can also use DVD Decrypter to find firmware updates by selecting Drives... under the Tools menu and then selecting Check for Firmware Updates.... http://www.filehippo.com/download_dvd_decrypter/ If these were AVI/divX conversions, try a different program. The m ost widely used seem to be the following: VSO's ConvertXtoDVD: http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ DVD Copy 4 Platinum: http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/InterVideoDVDCopy_Profile.jsp TMPGEnc Express 3: http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/te3xp.html DVD Santa: http://www.dvdsanta.com/ The Film Machine: http://members.home.nl/thefilmmachine/ NeroVision: http://ww2.nero.com/enu/index.html All have free trials, erc. ConvertX and DVD Santa watermark the output of their trial versions.
Hello: well some of the files i have are from torrents, and all i was wondering was, is there anything i can do to re align the speech to the picture, i use nero 7 premium, dvd fab decrypter, dvd shrink and dvd decrypter, but just cant seem to find out how to re align them, ive tried using video edit magic but it is so hard to get it right i gave up in the end
That's why I suggested using a different conversion program. Some do a better job of keeping the video in sync. After the deed is done, there's not much that can be done without demuxing, etc. What conversion program have you been using? I assume the clips all played in sync before conversion.
Hi no unfortunatly they arent in sync, even before conversion i always check them for quality and these ones are right out what does demuxing mean?? sorry to be a pain but ive never had to do this before, i usualy just get the movies in avi or divx and then just burn to disc using nero and usually i dont have any probs........ until now lol
Hello again. If they were out of sync before, there's probably little you can do about it that is relatively painless. That's the problem with these types of files. They've been converted back and forth too much. Demuxing means splitting the audio and video streams apart. When a video is mastered the sound and video are encoded together.
