Someone was asking me if there was any way to fix an ipod that's been through the laundry machine's wash cycle.

I told her it was highly unlikely it could be fixed if it went thoruhg the wash cycle. if it fell into the water and was taken out right away I could see it having a chance of working again. but not after going through the whole cycle.

anyone ever fixed one that's been through the wash?

Your quess is as good a any. I do not know any electronic that works after being submerged for more than a few seconds. The very old ones were made well but they are not now. Even the old ones could not withstand a wash cycle even though they could withstand a quick drop in a toilet.

The full wash cycle will certainly have ruined the electronics, I have seen various electronic items briefly dunked or even just get wet and never to work again. The ipod is a little more resilient, but not that much, so just try it when it dries out, and see, but don't get your hopes up, miracles do occur, very infrequently. You never know.
