if you already have the files to burn then any burner will do fine although some may be better than others.

But I want to back them up, so I'm asking if it can read the 360 disks.

I know for a fact that that is not the only option, I'll bump this for the night crowd, I'm sure if there is a way someone knows by now.

well slick, i dont think you will grt a better answer.
unless you use your 360 to rip the game thats what you will get.
there is no way to get your dvd drive to read a game, good luck.

I didn't think you'd get butt hurt when I wanted a second opinion besides someone who first misunderstood my question, then told me something I already knew apart from what I was asking.

I'll probably just do the top removal trick, time to go get a huge DL DVD TV show or something.

It'll copy the game, but not the security info. So... you can make a backup, but not a working backup.

Also, there's no need to tear the top off. Just use a paperclip and insert it into the emergency eject hole.

That was my thought exactly when I read the tutorials, but you're saying that WONT work with mine because it won't copy the sec. info? Or were those separate statements?

Normally it detects about 7MB of files.

    Hi,

I have heard that these are some DVD drive that works: (they are all Samsung drive)

SH-D162C: someone post a link for this one earlier... but here it is again:

    SH-D163A:

    TS-H352C:

Does anyone know's if this is true that these two drives works:
    TS-H352C & SH-D163A?

Can anyone tell me if there is any store in Canada that will sell any of them? I might just go ahead and buy the SH-D162C from ebay but I would like to purchase-it from a store in case that dosen't work...

Here is a link for baking-up your games from gmodz:

    Thanks

There is no need to test or try the other drives on there. I think it is probably safe to say that 3 out of 4 people on here have the samsung sh-d162c drive flashed with kreon. Simply, it is your best drive used to rip 360 games. I have purchased mine on ebay and it works perfect, no issues. Just go with the sammy

I use a Pioneer 111D to backup my games. You can use either WXripper (use the emergency hole, don't bother taking the drive apart) or you can use XBCreator. This will rip the game but without the SS, DMI and PFI files. Then I download those files off http://360patches.com/ and use Mulletter to merge all the files together to create an IXtremem compatible backup.
