    I want to put some old home movies that are on VHS on to a DVD. I have a DVD burner but I dont know if I can get something to help make this possible.

    Hi and welcome to aD. Id hate to be the bearer of badnews but you arent too likely to get your question answered as since its in the wrong forum. Try asking your question in the apprioate forum (DVD authoring, Hardware etc) I dont know actually which forum would be best to ask in, Id try Hardware and see what you get.

    as for general idea of helping you : you can buy a VHS/DVD combo setup that has DVD burning capablity built in. But these setups are very very expensive and you cant really clean up the video from the VHS anyway. Id suggest getting a TV capture card ( takes signal from VHS and imports it to your PC) and running the video thru a video editing package to clean up the video from VHS.

    anyway, you can also goto Videohelp.com for guides on vhs to dvd conversions.

    @ ml52303:

    dont multipost instead if you have posted your question in the wrong forum, just click on the tab that says;

    report an offensive post , which is at the end of each persons comment(just explain what the prob is and they will be more than happy to accomodate your request) and a mod will transport it for you.

    @ dude845 :
    What kind of reply is that for some one who is looking for help.
    if you dont know the answer dont just post anything it makes you look more stupid than what you are.Instead do some research and maybe point out possible solutions to try.
