I beat and unlocked everything in doa4 on my first HDD that ended up being a little defective. basically every once in awhile it won't be able to find any of my profiles and I'll have to restart my 360 few dozen times to get it to work. Well MS sent me a new HDD because of this but I really don't feel like beating ALL of doa4 again on another HDD. Is there anyway at all I can trasfer my saved data to my new HDD?
It's impossible to move doa4 data from one storage devise to another. So basically once you choose where to save you data it's gonna be there forever and you better not lose it. That's why I'm asking if maybe there is a back door method to transferring saved data with the 360.
Actually there is. But it requires you to open both of your xbox 360 hard drives and attaching them to your computer. You'll need an app called xplorer 360. With it you can copy files from your 360 hard drive to your computer and back.
arcanix, I heard in another thread that xplorer 360 can only read not dump files to 360 hard drive yet.
Wrong. Read this: Copypasted from here: http://www.gaming-360.com/?p=381 Tutorial for attaching 360 HDD to pc: http://www.360gamesaves.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=5
Yeah the new version of xporer can now dump files(it was me that said it can't dump files on that other thread, but it's been updated now) http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox360-tools/Xplorer360.php it's still only beta, so it can only get better
Xplorer is a great piece of software but unfortunately those bungholes at Tecmo decided to make the DOA4 game saves special. The saves are attached to your gamer card/profile. Meaning that they cannot be traded and if you need to restore your gamer card/profile you lost all your hard work. Sorry to bring the bad news.
