Is there ever going to be a DVD-R DL

    I was just wondering if anyone knows why -R didn't move forward to dual layer like +R did. The only thing that I can really think of is that all the -R supporters decided to start supporting HD-DVD or Blu-ray instead.

    Sooner or later they probably will support DL maybe there waiting until they can put competive prices out there.Well i'm hoping anyway.

    I know this is kinda a media question but isn't -R suppose to have better video quality then +R.

    Not really just more popular as it is more compitable with older dvd players.
