I downloaded a movie (avi) and converted it with dvd flick and it plays fine on the computer, but it won't on my dvd player. What can I do so that I can watch it on my standalone dvd player?

What type of disks are you using? How fast are you burning the disks? If you are using +R's, did you booktype?

i'm using -r disks 4x speed. Now that you mention it I read somewhere about booktype. What exactly is that and can you perform that with imgburn or with Nero 6 and if so How?

If you are using -r disks, you don't need to booktype. You only booktype if you use +r disks. Imgburn has a setting to enable booktyping. I'm not sure about nero, as I don't use it.

Booktyping makes your dvd player think the dvd+r disk it's playing is a dvd-rom disk.
