So I got this xbox, the fans dont turn on and it red rings. I attempt to fix the rrod by means of heat gun method. I have had about 75% success with H-G method. Box still doesnt run except for rrod lights blinking. I take the board back out, turn it over to inspect for signs of grounding or shorts, I see this (next to the black dot) is that normal? I think its blown. Thats right around the area of the graphics chip.
