Is This A Good Hard Drive?

    I'm Only Wanting 60 Gb...MAXTOR HARD DRIVE-60 GB 5400 RPM IDE...IS That A Good Hard Drive.

    i prefer maxtors over western digital hds. the 5400 rpm drives are on the bottom for speed but might not notice speed difference if you got a faster rpm drive depending on the specs of your computer. what was the price difference between 5400 & 7200 rpm drives on same capacity??

    Are you getting a laptop? 5400 RPM might be the fastest speed option. Just don't get 4200 RPM, even if you sacrifice gigs.

    Actually 7200 is the fastest HDD speed for a laptop, then 5400, etc. :)

    yeah, i know, but many laptops just have the 5400 RPM option.

    I've had three different Maxtors, and I haven't had a problem with any of them. I'd say they're a pretty solid brand to go with.

    Western Digital is also reliable.
