is this a good quality burner that can booktype??

    best buy has a sale this week on there Pioneer 16x Internal Double Layer Dvd+/-rw/r drive for only $49.99 is it worth buying????

    I'd go with Liteon. It's a trusted name that is constantly updated with firmware--plus it's cheap. In addition, I have 3 and none of them have ever failed me.

    Pioneers cannot booktype, try BenQ, LiteOn, Plextor, LG, and NEC can do it with modified fw. As stated try Meritline or http://www.newegg.com you will get much better prices online.
