the brand is Nexxtech. I keep getting power calibration errors with these disks using dvd decrypter. And the first solution is to get new media. So what do u guys recommend cause im going to kmart.

    Kmart?

They carry a lot of memosux and taiwanese fuji.Look for the Japanese fuji for the ones made by Taiyo Yuden.

    What format you using cac?

If you got a nearby Office Depot,I believe their 50 pks of maxells are on sale in a buy 1/get 1 free starting tomorrow.

    $30 for 100 of them!!!!

The spindles that say made in japan will yield hitachi on the 8x speed for both dash and plus format.

The taiwanese maxells: +8x will yield Ritek-R03 and are very good. The taiwanese dash 8x is a gamble. Chances are higher with Ritek-g05,but more and more people getting bad results from them. Also a chance of getting cmags.

The hitachi maxells are very good.Take the ad over to wal-mart to price match them. You should find the japanese maxells in either those stores, but they'll be all mixed in with the taiwanese.

The 16x maxells? I'm not sure of,but I'd go with the japanese ones if they had them available. For 16x media, verbatim is some of the best.

Same japanese/taiwanese goes for Sony and Fuji.
