Hi all. Been trying to extract the data from an old PS2 back-up CD-R which no longer worked in my PS2 due to general wear and tear. I must admit i was a little ignorant as to what would be involved as I've spent the whole weekend on this and my patience is wearing thin. I've had varying success with other DVD's and CD-R's in either copying the disk or creating an image, but wouldn't ya just know it. The 1 game my son wants more than any other (GTA 3) i cant get to work. So far I've tried.

    Alcohol 120%
    CdClone
    Isobuster

but it seems the CD is too scratched to do anything with it, although it may have something to with not having a dedicated CD Writer and having to use my Pioneer 108, just a thought.

Anyway can you think of anything else i might or could try before the CD retires to coasterville. Many thanks in advance.

Your Pioneer is fine to create a duplicate but if it's to scratched maybe you should try to get one of those scratch repair kits they sell at bestbuy or cicuitcity, that my do the trick.
