Ive ordered an asrock 4coredual and ill have to buy a new core2duo later on to afford it, but for the time being, will the Intel Celeron D 2.80GHz Single core CPu work on it? and if it does, would it speed up my computer a little without the core2duo until i get one? because if it doesnt speed it up ill just keep it in its box until i get the new cpu, because my current old acer mobo is only using ddr yet this one will run ddr2 would that speed it up? thanks!!
won't speed up being you are using the same cpu off old board. won't work at all till you get ddr2 ram unless that board has both ddr & ddr2 slots.
ive got a stick of ddr2 ready for the motherboard edit: hey sammoris can i just quickly ask this here, my CPU temp is hanging around 65c all the time is that normal or ok for a celeron? also if its at 65c what would the core2duo be like? 0.0 and my old IDE hard drive is hanging around 50C
Depends, 65C isn't great, but as long as it doesn't go any higher, it's acceptable. My bad for not reading your post properly
hey sammoris im talking to you with the nintendo wii browser!!! um my comp just died, im guessing its cause of heat? every time i boot it it will freeze at all sorts of places after the boot screen. sometimes when it says windows it starting up or welcome it'll just freeze the closest i got it was when i got to windows, for some reason it was loading the slowest ever, and when i opened IE it closed after about 3 secs. i just installed windows fresh and thers no viruses what could it be? pleaaase help me!! thanks!
all of a sudden both of my ram sticks seem to be broken :0 i just managed to get windows to boot up on only 1 stick of ram, i got passed all the messages that say something like 0cx0x0x0 failed to inicialize blah blah. how c ould they both break? motherboard? thanks oh and y'know how i fixed my other computer not long ago and it was the ram, yea well there both the same brand, so is Hynix a good brand? i dont think so but... now im getting random popups saying i could win an iphone 3G, and windows are switching between active and non-active by themselves!! mabey this could be a virus...but...how...??? 0.o thanks!
Windows XP off the bat is horrifically insecure. Always install at least Service Pack 2 and Antivirus software BEFORE you go browsing.
i cant even get windows xp to re-install, every time ive done it ive had to install it off an external HDD, but when i do it now, it just sits on a black screen :s what can i do now? plus isnt those failed to inisialize errrs usually caused by ram? thanks sammoris
