I recently got an external DVD buner (Samsung SH-S162L)and have jumped into the world of DVD burning. I've been using a DVD recorder (Panny E85) from my Dish sat receiver for a year, so have some familiarity with the process. My original intent for the PC drive was to be able to download TV shows & movies online and burn to DVD plus maybe edit and improve my E85 DVDs with menus etc. I never intended to do anything illegal but now I wonder if I may have. This is all so confusing. Anyway, I joined this place called'MP3MusicHQ.COM' where you pay so much a year for unlimited downloads. They said it was all legal, etc. They provide choices of different software to use to get titles. I've tried "Frostwire" and "Ares". With both you have to wade through a pile of porn sites & titles and I've yet to figure out how to filter them out. Anyway, wanting to see how it worked, I downloaded what was called X-Men 3 from a site that claimed 3 start quality. It took forever to get it and it seemed to be downloading it from 20 different sites at once. Well, now that I've got it, I realize that this can't possibly be a legit copy. I assumed that part of the "enrollment" cost is used to procure rights to these shows. I admit I was a little skeptical that they had X-Men 3 because I didn't think it had been out very long. The copy wasn't that good either and had no credits before or after. So what's the scoop of this stuff? If it's not legit, I don't want to be a part of it - even if I can figure out how to improve the quality. Also, where would a good place to go to get downloads that are legit and that I can burn to DVD for my own use?
p2p are filesharing programs the two that you have used don't have an agreament with the copyright holders of the movies, and that would be frostwire and ares, also did you read the user agreament on the front page of the site mp3musichQ.com? this is what it says(You will find detailed instructions on how to stay legal within the member's area. The purchase of a membership, however, is not a license to upload or download copyrighted material. We urge you to respect copyright and share responsibly. so you need to read much more in the membership file to stay legit, also the movie x men 3 is not out for release for the video rental or for sale at this time, so the copy you have is not legal, i hope that helps you. now there are sites that have these thing that you can legaly download and buy and burn to disk, right now at the time i don't have the link, good luck happy burning have a nice day
Thanks. Hopefully I can cancel and get a refund and then hook up with a decent legit site. If you or others can post a couple links, that would be great. Although I have spent time searching this forum before posting questions, it's very overwhelming when you're a newbie. I know what that's like too since I'm a 1600+ poster on a satellite TV forum and we get newbie questions all the time. Thanks again.
you have more chance of getting a phaedophile out of a playground full of kids than getting a refund. never ever pay monies to sites like these..maybe a lesson learned this time eh buddy? some sites are good, but those that offer items that arent even out yet....jeese you can get that kinda of stuff free from anywhere on the net,so me mate tells me
