I have always found this forum most helpful and a place where members treat each other respectfully unlike some other forums that deal with these topics. Especially one in particular. It seems that Noobs are subject to an unnecesary amount of discussions that occur between members when one is posting simpy to get suggestions or possible solutions. In many cases the dialogue between members is flagrantly insulting, thus I am wondering if AfterDawn is able to assist in queries regarding One Click DVD, Clone Dvd and Any DVD. I see that Nero is a topic of the forum which is a program on one of my other notebooks.I ask this as a group of us who work together use all of these programs and we are all relatively Noobs. There are 10 individuals in our group and every single one of us has had a problem with a specialty forum in DVD's and it is not nice when all you are trying to do is post for possible solutions and not be subjected to belittling comments. This Forum is like many of the other forums on security topice etc. that I belong to it has a comfortable atmosphere where you know that one does not have to spend the time in a post defending themselves while one is seeking help. So on behalf of the 10 of us I thought that I would post asking if AfterDawn is able to provide advice on these programs and any complications that one might have in their use, as the 10 of us simply have had enough of what goes on in this particular Forum as we eventually leave the forum with no solution as our posts end up as just idle chit chat between members. And quite frankly none of us have participated in a forum like this before. I would appreciate a reply, b/c it is tedious going back and forth simply trying to get members of this particular forum to remember that they were Noobs at one point in their life and that it is unnecesary to critique people's posts. We have always understood that the purpose of Forums is to exchange useful information between Peers and even have Mods comment. When Forums are not monitored for sarcasms and blatant ridicule it is very disconcerting for a Noob to want to return to ask questions. Quality Forums make for a quality exchange of valuable advice that encourages members to participate without a cloud of apprehension over what their post might evoke. And many times a simple search can come up with the answer. Thankyou for your time and I look forward to a reply.
AfterDawn Forums is [bold]USUALLY[/bold] very helpful. That being said, know that there are always one or two, at [bold]every[/bold] forum, that likes to give someone (anyone) a hard time. It's childish, but it happens. Not as much here, as at other forums though. If it happens, just try to ignore it. Someone more helpful will be along shortly. You may find some helpful guides here: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/index.html I didn't see one there for One Click DVD, but you still may find something useful. There's also links to other software to download and use. There's probably a guide there for that software. DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter are still used a lot, even though they're no longer updated. They work very well with AnyDVD, to do the newer movies. The only software I use is: DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, CloneDVD, and AnyDVD. AnyDVD combined with these programs, have done every movie I've tried. Occaisionally Shrink or Decrypter won't do a newer movie, even with AnyDVD. But I haven't found a movie yet thet CloneDVD won't do, with AnyDVD. As you probably know though...........CloneDVD isn't free. Slysoft sells it at the same site you bought AnyDVD. Hope this helps. If you have specific questions, ask away. Somebody will probably be able to help. Good luck!
Thx for the reply. I have Clone Dvd and Any Dvd on one notebook and use them together. Pretty decent results. My other notebook has One Click Dvd on it and Any Dvd, and quite frankly for myself I like it better. But each to his own. I have purchased all 3 programs. I don't use any of the free programs, though I did at one time use Decrypter. And I did mention I believe that I also use the purchase version of Ulead Movie Factory 4 with my Hauppauge unit win tv pvr usb2 to transfer video to dvd. There is scant info available it seems on Ulead Movie Factory 4, though I belong to a Peer forum but no one has the answer that I am looking for and that is how to perfect the Menu. i gather by your comments that One Click DVD is likely not covered in this forum is that correct? I have mentioned all of the programs that I use. Sometimes I use Nero to burn data dvd's and that is the only time Nero is used. I appreciate the response. And I do realize that there is always going to be dissenting individuals, I have come across that too in other forums and can deal with that; however it is when there is uncalled for chiding remarks that are so offensive that I remove myself and as well the 10 others who share the same ideology exit as well. This type of contentious dialogue and members trying to one up one another accomplishes nothing, simply aggravation and I don't believe in that! Life is too short to spend one's energy on negativity. Regards. BTW, I will have to look up the Link for One Click that you provided, thankyou.
Someone here may know some stuff about your software (One Click DVD). There is a forum here at AfterDawn called "DVD±R - One-click transcoding tools". Here is a link to it. http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/78 That's where you'll probably find answers to your questions about that particular software. Give it a try........... Good luck!
