Is xbox 360 backward compatible????

    Will you be able to play all xbox games. I heard that you can only play few xbox games. If they mod xbox 360, Will you get kick out of xbox live just like the xbox?????

    First, There is a little debate about this, so far people think you can only play select xbox games on xbox 360... and

    second, of course your gona get banned from xbox live 360 if you mod,, its microsoft, if they catch you with something better then what they made, they of course will destroy you..

    unless they have gone insane they should be backwards compatible: revolution is, and so is ps3. they have to stay up with competition.

    I heard that the xbox 360 will be backward compatible but some games might not work(like the present day ps2) I think I read it on xboxscene

    HAHAHA well new info has come in sincei have first posted, and it looks like they have gone insane, Xbox will only be able to play select games. =p

    XBOX 360 will only be able to play "select" games, just like everyone else has said in this thread.

    And just for everyone's info: The PS2 is backwards compatible with all PS1 games, no questions asked. If a game ins't working for you, then you could have a damaged laser, game, etc.

    of course microsoft is gona make halo and halo2 on the xbox1.5 , thats the only game that markets the console.

    first off, that site is probably highly biased. Second that only proves what we knew as it will be able to play select xbox games.
