I received a game file in .iso format and I used the MagicISO software program to extract the files out of the .iso image and into a directory which I titled disk1 I then used Roxio CD Creator to burn these extracted files to CD-R. The extracted files totaled 640mb and I used a 700mb disk. When I ran the newly created CD, the autoplay functioned worked and the game installed beautifully, but when I ran the game, it gave me an error saying it couldnt find the disk in the CD-ROM and to make sure I had the disc in correctly then retry. I have not been able to make this work. Everything else looks good - no glitches. Any ideas? I also tried this on a game that took 3 disks and again, it installed great but wouldnt play (same error - couldnt find or recognize the disk in the CD-ROM once it tried to execute. ???
you are doing way more than you need to. you do not need to extract the iso to the individual files. by doing so you are changing the structure of the original cd, which is probably why it won't work. in roxio, go file open, or whatever steps needed to open a file. for file types, select images or iso. then simply open the .iso file with roxio, and it will automatically read it and burn it directly to a CDR.
