WHen I burn an ISO image file to disk, everything looks complete. Meaning, I have all files contained in image viewable in windows explorer. There is an application setup file that when i try and execute i get the error msg: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I am logged on as the comp admin. There is a txt file that when I attempt to open it, I get a Notepad error "Incorrect Function". I have tried this twice on two cds and have the same results. Any help would be appreciated.

It is an executable file. I want to install an application. Does this answer your question?

No. The application comes in three .rar files (Part 1, 2, 3). Keep in mind, Im new to the whole iso file world. Anyways, I first extracted all three .rar files to the same directory thinking that they all belonged together. However, it appears that all the files contained in the .rar were the same. I burned the iso that was extracted from the .rar to a disk. Then, I attempted to execute the setup file and thats when I get the error. I got virtually the same error trying to copy and past the setup file to my local hard drive. So, then I only extracted one of the .rar files and performed all of the above steps and got the same results.
    Thanks for your time.

winrar can split whatever its saving into seaprate parts when first compressing it to rar file.

so, when you unpack the rar later, it will peace all the parts back together, ONLY click first rar file to unpack, winrar is clever it will find the other parts 2 and 3 by itself and extract.

try clicking first rar only and save to a folder on hard drive.

then right click on the extracted iso and OPEN WITH winrar (locate winrar.exe) now winrar SHOULD NOT! show an iso it will show whats inside the iso! (all files and folders)

if you get this far good, find install.exe and see if you can install to pc.
