Iso compression?

    is nero one of the best programs to make a bunch of files into 1 iso and its compressed? b/c ive seen an iso file compressed and when i extract it, it comees out 3 times bigger. how is this acheived?

    I've never heard of a compressed ISO. ISO is essentially an archiving format that takes the entire contents of a disk, as it is laid out on a disk, and saves it into a single file. What you've probably seen are ISOs compressed via WinRAR or WinZIP. You can actually extract the contents of an ISO with WinRAR, as well as most other archive types.
