I have downloaded a video and RAR processed (?) it as an ISO file but SW won't open it to add subtitles. How can I go about it. I have the foll software: DVD Shrink, DVD Flick, Avidemux, Need4 software, Imgburn, Easy sub synchronizer, Voblanker, Virtual Dub,VLC, mplayer 321, Auto GK.
You can open the image file with DVD Shrink and Backup to a folder on the HDD. Alternatively you can mount the image on a virtual drive (using freeware like Virtual Clone Drive). Now run Vob2MPG, open the ifo file and save as one large Mpeg2 file. Next, open the mpeg2 in DVD Flick and add the subs (Edit Title > Subtitle tracks). Then under 'Project Settings' > 'Video' > 'Advanced' check 'Copy mpeg2 streams. The new DVD is created without encoding (since the source is DVD compliant). Other options are using PgcDemux to demux the video files then MuxMan to add the subtitles - (muxing without encoding).
As far as video it opens mpg, avi,vob etc - you can see the types by clicking 'Movie' > 'Open' from the top menu.
Tks may I ask another (always in trouble, hope you guys don't mind hehehe) Downloaded a movie .avi MPC says cannot render file. Is the file corrupt or what?
Try VLC, if still not opens, then it might be a broken AVI. Otherwise, might be encoded with a codec that MPC cannot render.
