Hi all! I hope you/someone can help! I have ripped DVD's with DVD shrink to my laptop, problem is they are massive, and take up loads of room. I have some xvid/avi files that are around the 700mb range and are whole films - much better than the 1+gb the ripped dvd's take up! Is there anyway to convert the ripped files (.iso) to .avi. I need the simplest way possible as I am not the most technical and get confused easily. Cheers! Rob.
First you have to unpack the ISO.( Next time have DVD Shrink make a folder on your HDD instead of an ISO). To unpack the ISO, you can use WinRar, IsoBuster, or mount the image to an image drive. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/309173 After that, Auto GK can easyly convert you DVD into an AVI: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd_to_avi_autogk.cfm
