I just got my first DVD witer yesterday its a LiteOn SOHW-1633S 16X DVD+/-RW Drive. I dont know much about dvd creation but I tried and had a problem. I have an ISO file I downloaded and burned straight to DVD using Nero6. The dvd works but it came out streched like the old kug-fu movies. It should be viewed in theathrical/widescreen/letterbox size but came out streched using the full screen(I have a regular old 27'TV, no HDTV or widscreen.) My question is: Is there any way I can change the aspect ratio before I burn the dvd so that it will play with letterboxing. Once more it is an ISO file. Sorry if I sound dumb with this kinda thing, I am, but I learn quickly so please teach me how to fix this lil prob. Thanks tons
I don't know if this will work but it won't cost you anything to try. Download the free demo version of DVDsanta, run your ISO file through than but first change the aspect ratio to 4.3 not automatic. Burn with DVDSanta or nero. Use a RW disc. best of luck gringle
hi rip the main movie only from the dvd useing dvd decrypter in file mode/main movie... then load the ifo to avi2dvd then set pal/ntsc and 16:9/4:3 and 4:3 being the normal square picture! both apps free (i recommend useing HCEnc encoder!)
