    Hi all,
Self confessed newbie to all this. I have an ISO file that I want to burn using a CD-R writer (split as needed) - how do I convert/compress it into a format that will support this?

Hi there RedFive05, welcome to aD,

First, in order to work with an ISO we have to convert it to something that is workable such as a VOB file as a ISO Image is only good for burning. I suggest using DVD Shrink. Shrink will "automatically" convert it into a VOB file and allow you to edit, split and compress (if you wish) your project. To allow Shrink to aquire your ISO go to Flie ~> Open Disc Image and point your way to your ISO image. DVD Shrink will allow you to split your now "VOB file" into 2 equal OR almost equal parts which ever you wish in the re-Author mode. Cut your files nd save them to HD then, if you're going to be doing a few of these, I'd like to see you use Super DVD Ripper, a truly fantastic proggy that will allow you to convert to CD's without a hitch. Otherwise, use DVD2SVCD -
