    hi

not sure how to get an avi from a dvd?

but if you get a dvd place it in dvd shrink then use crop feature

    its easy!

in re-author mode this will loose menus/extras and just drag across the main movie title...

    hi

    dvd decrypter burns iso files!

and another free app is filder2iso to make the files to iso for burning!

but note! - you need a VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folder inside another folder called whatever then lead folder2iso to the whatever folder then it will make an iso of both the VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS and of course have the vob/ifo/bup files inside the VIDEO_TS folder aswell first.
