I made a SafeDisc mini-image using the sticky and i am able to successfully boot the image without the disk but not using the mds file. Whenever i try and mount the mds file using daemon tools it says "unable to mount image. Image not accessible". Now if i mount the mdf file it will mount properly. The only thing is the mdf file is considerably larger then the mds file (about 3 gigs larger). Has anyone else ran into this issue? I would really like to be able to use the smaller file to boot since i have limited disk space. thank you
the .mdf caontains all the info and the .mds is just like a .cue If the file is around 3gigs then you did not do it right as that is way to big for a mini image. you should only allow a few read errors then stop and save. then you can mount the image.
when i was making the image i did not run into any read errors. I am using Alcohol 120% version 1.9.2.1705 and a few things i noticed that were different with my alcohol 120% was that i could not change the burn speed. It was locked on max. Also, there was no other options to check or uncheck except for "Skip reading errors". So i checked that. What can i do to make my mdf file smaller?
AAHHH...your trying to make a mini image off of a dvd, you cant't! It didn't dawn on me until I re-read this post, lol. It's been a very long while since mini-image days. Instead try a no-cd fix. You can get it at gameburnworld.com
Ok, so i tried making a minidisk of a game that is a CD-r and alcohol 120% will not give any read errors just like when i made one for UT3. How do i cause read errors?
