Issues with PC

I just got a new router and some cat6 cables but have been having nothing but issues. The Netgear N600 sets up fine and I can browse the internet fine while Im wired. But if I set up my 360 or my laptop I get nothing but disconect and lagging issues. I have my 360 on the 5ghz channel while the laptops and everything else on the 2.4 channel but I still get issues. Is there a specific way to set this router up or can it be the cat6 cables, its really getting to me. Any help would be appreciated.
