I have tried formatting my computer which works for a day but then when i turn my computer on the next day i havent no longer got the dvd drive. Can you please help me
Could be the firmware needs to be updated, Or your media isnt bieng recognized. Update your firmware and drivers, And use name brand quality media (when burning.) What program(s) are you using to burn? http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm The following list is in preference order. The best discs are near the top of the list. The discs at the bottom of the list are suitable only for a landfill. Almost flawless burns with 95-100% reliable results: PVC = Pioneer = (-R)(-RW) MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)<-----------------VERBATIM MY CHOICE #1 TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)<--------------FUJIFILM (made in japan) MY CHOICE #2
I found my update and everything and when it came on to the part were it was install it says that the drive could not be located correctly
I have a similar problem with my Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616E drive. It came originally installed on my Sony Vaio PCV-RS630G desktop PC but I don't know if that is the real name of my drive because everytime I try and update my firmware for this drive I get "Firmware is not compatible with the drive" so I am stuck on trying to update the firmware. Any Ideas?
look all i know is that my computer has 2 drives. one says DVD-Rom on it and the other one says "compact disk rewriteable" (CD-RW). I use the CD-RW to burn cd's, like music for example. Somebody please tell me! Can i burn DVD's!?
