Hey there, I recently had a crack in my LCD screen, and in the process of changing it, cracked my glass as well. SO i changed both out, put it back together, and happily, it works great once again (with no cracks!)... anyways, in the process of changing that stuff out, which I hope I never have to do again, I destroyed the black trim that runs around the rim of the iPod, and also puts a seal between the glass and the backing of the unit. Does anyone know of a fix that will seal it back up, hopefully without having to disassemble it again?...I was thinking some kind of silicone, but dont know if that will leak into the unit as i apply it... anyone ever have this sort of problem, or have any ideas?.... any help would be appreciated!...thanks in advance!
might want to check on ebay as i think i saw the trim pieces on there the other day when looking for a phone. or you could buy a junked out phone for around 20-30 bucks on there.
