Itunes freezes my computer any answers?

    This probibly has been asked before, but I just bought an Ipod and installed Itunes on my computer an found That Itunes freezes my computer and the only way I can unfreeze it is reboot..... are there any answers to this problem. I did finally between feezing get the Ipod loaded. but the problem continues as i try to add more to my Ipod

    Yea i dont know if you repair this issue already but here's an advise, first download and install the lates version of Quicktime stand alone that mean quicktimes without itunes, onces quicktime is installed install itunes, then add your music connect your ipod and wait for it to show on itunes.     I uninstalled Itunes and Quicktime ,did as u recommended installed quicktime indiviually then tried to reinstall Itunes and got
    Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls. System error 5. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.how do i get around this?

    Found no answers and thought maybe it was time to reformat and reinstall windows ................... and that solved my problem now Itunes works and all is well for now.... now working through my Ipod getting to know it and its quirks.
