I got an iPod Video on Christmas and bought a $30 iTunes card so I could buy a TV show. I purchased the first video and it took about 10 minutes to download. Then on the second video it said it was purchasing and it downloaded about half way and then said internet connection failed. The connection was there all along and was working perfectly. I emailed apple and they will reply within' 72 hours. So I would like to know if downloads take 10 minutes with comcast cable internet connection and is this my internet fault? Thanx.
Sorry, I am not familiar with cable internet...what is the actual speed of cable? Were you downloading anything else at the same time through a different program? It might just be a one-off connection fault. Have you tried to download through iTunes since?
I mean cable/dsl provided by comcast. I didn't have any other applications open. I haven't downloaded anything from iTuens because I didn't want the same thing to happen. Any Suggestions? Thanx
Thanx for the help Lethal. I just opened iTunes, and then it asked me to put in my password and then it downloaded the video.
First of all, video downloads from iTunes are very fast... TV shows take a bit longer because they're 200mb... But Christmas day??? Think about it... Apple sold a ton of iPods for Christmas and everyones downloading... That will slow things down. Also there's a difference between Cable modems and Dsl... Cable is faster but your speed may vary... Dsl is constant.
