Hi, my daughter can't tranfer music from her itunes files to her PSP. Is there a compatibility issue? Eddy

Yes, the PSP doesn't support AAC (.m4p/a or iTunes) files!

From the looks of things the PSP supports AAC only when its inside the .mp4 container. That sucks. But it would be illegal for the PSP to support iTunes music as the ipod is the only device that is licensed to do so. Also Sony has its own audio format that its tring to push anyway (Atrac). The PSP supports Mp3 and Atrac via the memory stick and only Atrac and LPCM via the UMDs.

Also would he not have to strip the DRM?

Sooooooo. If you rip off the DRM (Digital Rights Management) and then convert it to mp3 you could put it on your PSP.

That's why Sony (with their wierd proprietery crap)is getting left behind by such companies as Creative and iRiver.

    Thanks,
    ED!
