I had iTunes 6.0.5 running properly on my desktop computer with all my music files and everything..., then I installed on my new laptop iTunes 6.0.5 and copied all the music and data files from my desktop to my laptop just to have the same music, playlists and podcasts in my 2 computers...

(When copying the files to my laptop, it said the library will be renamed from "library.tif" to "library (Damaged).tif")... I think it was a ".tif" extension

iTunes worked on my laptop the first day (not properly, but worked...), it didn't work properly because some of the features such as music store instead of showing the artist or song it just showed insignificant letters meaning nothing...

A few days later I tried to load iTunes on my laptop and it said that the program had an error and it had to be closed..., I tried uninstalling it and reinstaling it (deleting all iTunes files while uninstalling it) and the same error message came again while installing it and loading it again..., I tried uninstalling it again and installing previous versions and when trying to loading iTunes (4 and previous versions) it said that QuickTime was not installed properly, I tried to install many versions of QuickTime and it NEVER worked...

Then I tried to load iTunes on my desktop computer and suddenly the same error message came again (that the program had to be closed because it found an error...)

I dont know what to do...

Any ideas or thoughts will be fully appreciated!!!

    THANKS!

I honestly havn't an idea, I just responded so you wouldn't feel as if you weren't being ignored. We're all pretty friendly here and will certaintly help when we know what to do. I'll look around the net a little to see if i can find anything.

I am not a huge fan of I-tunes and know that they have means of deterring filesharing amongst computers and other I-pods than your own. I recently purchased a program called ANAPOD ($30.00)that allows you to move music files with ease on and off your I-pod or from computer to computer. Give it a try.
    Hope this helps
