itunes

    this may sound thick but can someone tell me,i have an ipod touch and an ipod classic,in itunes i want itunes to tell the difference between my touch and my classic as i plugged one in and it completely cleared my classic and loaded up the stuff i had on my touch to my classic how do i get around this thanx

    Do this for each iPod at a time. Plug in one iPod. Open iTunes, under devices click on the iPod, go to the summary tab, and make sure "manually manage music and videos" is checked. You’ll then have to manually transfer your songs to each different iPod, but it should prevent it from automatically syncing itself.

    cheers i also found out that if i put one under a different user on the pc that will also work.

    Thanx alot. Just got a touch and want only certain music on it. Very helpful. Gosh, I just love this place.
