i've Given up on ALL DVD burning!!

hi guys,

good news is that i was actually able to rip a dvd with DVD shrink after the firmware update, and then Nero went and did its thing and burned the dvd. It said it was all succesful, the dvd was fully burned too. But then i tried to play it and it it stated "disc read error".

if its not one thing its the other i guess. i relly appreciate all the help that has been given on this subject.

Verbatum is good as well as Taiyo Yuden. If you buy online get the Taiyo Yuden you won't be disappointed.

I would try making a home made dvd files convert some small video to dvd format and try atleast burning it hence skipping the ripping method.

 

return it to sony and tell them they sucks and u want ur money back.

i'm sure you'll transfer them onto something more durable like memorex

 

i have tried with TDK and Imation blank DVD's and both didnt work. i guess its just a hardware issue..

HAHAHA, yah, you know ME, especially ME and my love for memorex~ LOL

i will most likely reback them up on some GOOD MEDIA, my trusted TYs or as my buddy creaky would suggest, his favorite Verbs~

but, it's the thought that counts~ i sincerely appreciate you taking the time to do the backups for me, regardless of WHAT media it is on...when it comes time for me to return the favor to you, rest assured i will ONLY use TY or Verbs for your copies i don't cut corners when it comes to media, i STICK W/ THE BEST, to prevent from failing like the rest~ good day to you andmerr~

i would NOT recommend either of those 2 choices for media, as creaky mentioned earlier, might prove helpful to find the media codes for your imation or tdk~ i am HOPING you didn't get any CMC MAGs~

And as a joke i thought about sending it on memorex b grade discs but the problem with them is that once you burn to them nothing re reads them

 

LOL...if you sent them on memorex b grade discs, you would be sending me TRASH from another country and then i would have to simply pass the trash onto geestar~ my only excuse when he can't read them either is, "that's how i got them from andmerr" ~ LOL
some say "one man's trash is another man's treasure", well, i DON'T think this quote holds true in this instance...memorex is crap and crap is still crap even when sent overseas~

 

it might take a few discs as:

have 8 episodes of manga
547 pics of raven riley
6000 pics of the top 10 women
and assorted video
all in avi (give you gentleman something to do )
