I've just chiped my ps2 but need to know how to back up my dvd games disks. Obviously i need to buy a dvd writer and some software but what ones? How difficult is it to back games up?
When you buy a DVD writer you first find out if you want a +r/rw or a -r/rw burner. What chip do you have ? (i think it plays DVD backups) You just make a 1:1 copy with Nero 5.5.9.17 or Primo and follow the startup procedure that you got with your modchip.
Ive got a magic 3 chip Didnt get any start up docs. I know youve got the mesiah so you wont be able to help in that respect (i'll work it out though). Tell me what dvd's do you use? I've no fref regarding + or - re. writer. I'll probably go for the - though cause its cheaper. Ps thanks for the reply
This is how to boot your backup having the Magic3: Direct boot all PS2 Media (CD/CD-R/DVD/DVD-R/DVD and Import Original) With the disk assumed in the tray and the tray closed: For PS2 games, power up normally from STANDBY with RESET button. A single tap is required. For PS1 games & DVD Movies, power up from STANDBY with RESET button held until the blue EJECT light comes on; then release RESET and the disk will boot. Please turn off the PS2 (to standby) before changing Mode (PS1/PS2/DVD) Further: I use all sorts of DVD's like: HP DVD+r and +rw Verbatim DVD+r Platinum DVD+r and +rw They all work well.
To anyone: Hi, there! I have ps2(Don't know what version) modified with Neo2 and use GameShark2 disc. I have been able to play cr-r backup games using swap trick, but unable to play any dvd-r backups. I tried to use "too many code" method, but could not find the screen where I can create or modify codes. What should I do. Should I find out a way to convert my dvd-r backups to cd-r backups? Please help. Thanks!
I will vouch for shopatchris.com I ordered the magic chip from him and he was out of stock for only 2 days but threw in a backup game for the 2 day delay. A+++ Customer service. He even called me to ensure I was having no problems.
If you claim that you are not the owner of the site, but really a customer, that's being dishonest.
