Hi there, If anyone can help me with this it would be great. I'm primarily working with music video's. These tend to be edited after they have been telecined, resulting in an interlace pattern that can sometimes be pretty random. Is there any way of restoring them to 24fps progressive? Gav.
VirtualDub has an inverse TC feature - but I cannot vouch for it. Note that before saving the output (if you are not using any filters or re-compession) click 'Video', 'Direct Stream Copy' else you will get uncompressed output. http://neuron2.net/LVG/telecining2.html http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdub.cfm
Thanks, but that doesn't work very well. Virtualdub's IVTC function only works correctly when the pattern is constant all the way through. The video's I'm using aren't constant. I'm trying out Donald Graft's decomb filter using AVISynth, but it's tremendously complicated, I'd like some suggestions for the required settings, if anyone can help?
