I read on the forum that someone posted, saying that the new iXtreme 1.51 is a little less stealth than 1.5.

So my question is, does the this firmware skip the part where it reads the 1st, 2nd, 3rd wave partition thing that sits on the disc entirely and boots up the game? or is it modified so that it does recognize the 3rd wave and reads it normally?

Just kinda curious because this might be a way to get banned if the partition on the disc is bad due to a bad rip and the firmware doesn't tell you by not booting up like in 1.5 and just booting up anyway.

    That's why we have ABGX360.

Run all your .iso files through it before you burn.

it reads wave 3 and has support for future waves vy allowing them to boot so yes you could boot a bad rip potentially. But like PS2menacace said you should already be checking with ABGX, even team jungle said that in the release of the FW

Yes I know you can run .ISOs through ABGX but I only use ABGX with downloaded games (Or with Hotswap, but I bought a Kreon drive so I rarely use it now considering I am making my own rips).

I bought the Kreon drive because it was easier than Hotswap and my copy of NTSC Dead Rising wasn't in the database so I couldn't back it up with the database because all they had to verify with were the PAL files. (So that's maybe one reason I stopped using ABGX with my own rips because I don't know if the game will be verified with creditable files or maybe missing them altogether, I do occasionally go back and check to be extra safe but normally I just check them in XBC and Schtrom and if they pass, I burn them.)

So I am just saying if XBC or Schtrom gave a bad rip or what not for whatever reason but whatever, no one really knows how M$ bans you anyway so I guess I will just stop thinking about it until it is brought up again in the future.

Kreon can have a bad rip too sometimes...nothing is perfect 100% of the time. Running a scan with ABGX takes 5-10 minutes tops and is a small inconvenience considering.

ive always heard that if you rip with a kreon drive abgx isnt needed? most of my kreon rips have some errors but none with ss or crc. i also read that you shouldnt auto fix kreon rips with ss or crc errors because the info is good? any thoughts?

If the info is good it wouldnt do an autofix cause there would be nothing to fix. Im not saying kreon doesnt work like people say it does im simply saying that taking the extra step of scanning doesnt take much time and considering that you are probbaly getting something for free then it isnt that much of an inconvenience really. And even if kreon does get all needed info that doesnt mean it is always 100% perfect 100% of the time. nothing is ever perfect so taking the extra time to make sure it is right is worth it. i mean 5-10 minutes is nothing when you compare it to all the money you might be saving, and avoiding the potential ban and having to hassle with getting a new box.

i certainly agree that it is worth the extra wait but i was always told that it wasnt needed. i guess at this point if my rips are bad ive certainly been flaged by now. maybe i'll spend the day checkin old rips through abgx.

ah yea i went thry that when i found mulleter was not good for checking i decided to check all my games with abgx and over 20 of mine were nonstealth.....thanks mulleter. So yea if MS has any flags on me they have them by now lol. I have 2 other boxes that have never had any bad rips or non stealthed games in them so if they get banned then i know if it something to do with MS detecting firmwares as i havent played early on those boxes either.
non of those were kreon rips tho i was just mentioning it.

generally if abgx auto fixes a kreon rip that you made with an orignial it is because your original possibly was made from a different master or from a different or subsequent production run. than the ones in the abgx database. This does NOT mean you have a bad kreon rip. It is not neccessary to run agbx on a kreon rip if you are confident your pc and kreon drive are in good health. There are some utilities to check that stuff. As the others said you may still prefer to run abgx. My question is if we all, I mean everyone has the same version/copy of a particular game (as fixed by abgx) would MS be able to determine this? What if only 2000 copies of the version of a particular game in the abgx database were made and one particular day there is 10,000 people playing that game? That would be a huge a red flag to MS. Maybe some of those kids who say "I got banned and never played backups or modded" are telling the truth. Or maybe there is even more to this that I have overlooked or don't understand. I personally don't autofix games that I ripped from my originals.

well, as stated earlier i decided to check my kreon rips through abgx and boy was i disappointed! 16 of them passed with flying colors (0 errors), 19 had some different yellow errors ( alot of 359 degree errors so no biggie, and some dmi errors) and 8 had more serious errors in red (read error while checking the crc mostly)for a total of only 37% of my legit rips being error free. just thought i would share that with everyone.
