I'm confused here, is it now possible to flash lite-ons back to stock now?

 

It's possible that you can still be flagged because of the way the firmware is written to the nand. LT writes to the nand in a more...lite way, that's closer to stock fw. LT will be safest from being banned going from virgin directly to LT.

Well you have to be very stict with your game checking. LT is safest with SS v2 and needs splitvid. But who knows really what kind of checks microsoft may have in store for the future. LT is basically a full rewrite and closest to stock the fw has ever been so it seems promising.

yes there is stock firmware for all drives. Check #xbins in irc

 

That SplitVid and SSv2 will get a lot of people banned off Live for playing bad copies...

You have to make sure all of your games have SplitVid and are SSv2...

 

i been looking all over the place to find how to rip with ss v2, does kreon drive do that?

 

won't you still get ban even if you flash it back to stock? since they will see that you been messing around with it?

The link in the first post includes the original firmware for each LO drive.

 

so to flash it back to the original i just flash it like i update 1.6 to 1.61 but insead of using 1.61 i use the original?

By the way, everyone should know spoofing does *not* work the same for LT unless it is the same brand drive. No more benq spoofed as a liteon or samsung spoofed as a benq, it can only be liteon spoofed as another liteon etc. (and even then I dont know how well it works between different versions of the drive)

yes that's right, be sure to spoof the key over and flash to original. Do your updates then flash again and spoof the key to the LT firmware

As of now, kreon drives cannot backup games properly (ssv1). Unless they release a new firmware to measure certain angles properly, it's not trusted to backup via kreon. The recommended method is using a 360 drive flashed with 0800 firmware to get ssv2.

 

i read this under the new LT, so does this mean that after we have this program we should not have to upgrade out firmware again, just to play newer discs. Live doesn't matter to me anymore.

 

is 0800 firmware the same as ixtreme 1.6+ because some ppl said 0800 firmware is included in the 1.6 firmware. so idk and flashing method is still the same way?

 

I have read that kreon drives have hardware limitations that prevent SSv2 angles being read properly. It is being presumed that Kreon drives may not be capable of SSv2. Stick with an original xbox drive flashed with 0800.

 

yes that is correct, all future waves will be playable

ixtreme 1.6 has 0800 mode built in yes and yes you flash the same way.

 

Hello I flashed with LT today all went well,but when I rechecked the firmware version with JF 1.67 it said that I had 1.61 witch was the last version.
So I reflashed 5 times & every time the flash went well but jf still said that I had 1.61

box works & still connect to live
Any ideas?
Have I got 1.61 or LT?
