    Hi guys

I'm thinking of buying a new ipod touch, the next generation one.

    Can these ones be jailbreaked/modded/hacked?

I'm thinking the only reason Apple released the "next gens" is to counter jailbreaking....

So just wana know if its possible or not.

    Thanks

Not at the moment 'pspfreak' but the dev team is working on it at the moment. It's going to take longer as the new touch uses a different processor than the iPhone, iPhone 3G and the old Touch. Watch the Dev teams blog for updates.

I'm waiting to as I got a 16gb Touch Yesterday. The $419 was worth it!
Now i'm waiting for the jailbreak too as buying apps are way too expensive $14 for Super monkey ball!!! It sucks (both the price and the game)

    Fingers crossed.

why do you guys insist on getting a 2g ipod touch? only different is the Nike+ feature which doesn't work unless you're willing to spend extra $60 to buy that stupid thing to put in your shoe o.o, and the volume control on the side of the ipod. The size of both are basically the same. They said the battery is better but I don't see much different. Watching youtube on wifi still only last a few hours XD, and as for the built in speaker I think it's too quite, i can barely hear anything. These are only my opinions. I'm not saying the 2g ipod touch suck.

    Chill luan,
If you have a 1st gen iPod touch then there is no point in buying the new one. I never bought the 1st gen one and so i think that buying the new touch is a good thing! And it looks better than the 1st gen (that Grey outline turned me away)
Just because you don't have a 2nd gen touch doesn't mean you have to take your anger out on the people who do! n00b!
