January 19th Update Has Prevented Me Playing Backups

    Put ImgBurn in read mode and make an ISO of the game (you have to use a backup for this, not the original). Run that ISO through abgx360 to patch it, then burn it to a new disc.

    This will only work if you are running Lite Touch Plus 1.0 or 1.1. With any other firmware, it's not gonna work, so if you say you have iXtreme 1.6, that's why it's not working for you.

    @nicke20 - They can ban both, but it's usually always just a console ban. They have banned people's gamertags in the past for playing pirated games before the release date, such as Forza 3, which saw a lot of people get permanent gamertag bans.

    I never saw a black screen, even for a few seconds. Does that mean I won't be banned? : D
    thps4eva mentioned "Use xval and see if you're flagged. If you are, probably." What's XVAL and how can I use it to see if I'm flagged? :)

    you should be on LT + 1.1 not 1.6

    Download XVAL on to your PC then put the xbox serial number and and X Encryption number that you will find in system info bit of the xbox dash and it will then tell you if you are flagged or not!

    So basically does this mean black ops, MW2 and Halo Reach will need to be patched when the patches come out and be re-burned?

    What does rescanning the ISO patch? I used imgburn and made an ISO of black ops and scanned it through abgx but everything is green and didnt seem to patch anything, Im on LT+ 1.0 so if I burn black ops again will it work?

    AP2.5 is has been around since FIFA 09. Its when M$ activates it that's the question.

    This talk of a patch...If someone makes a patch, does that mean the patch will make MW2 and BO work on a 1.6, as long as the MW2 and BO dvds are burned with this patch? Or would the dvd drive still have to be reflashed with LT+ regardless of such a patch?

    just update to lt+ soon,u will need it to play all games 1.6 is long and dead,the patch for the games will be out soon like people said

    i have got lt+1.0 just to clear up if i update will this effect my console?
    i dont use it for live. i have a legit xbox for live and a banned xbox for my backed up games my banned xbox has the sec data patched so it could install to the hard drive again last year after it got hit in the nov 2009 ban wave.so if i change my hdd to my banned xbox and update will it effect my backed up games and gamer profile???

    It doesn't seem to effect samsung drives. I've got 2 of them updated and running on live playing AC:B, Halo Reach, and COD Black OPS. My sammy is flashed with LT 1.0 (only version of LT for sammy drives).
